About Me

With nearly 25 years of combined experience as a personal trainer, nutrition and lifestyle coach, movement therapist for chronic pain, licensed counselor, researcher, professor of social work and medical education, and health coach, I am dedicated to empowering individuals to take charge of their health and their bodies and reclaim their lives.

After more than a decade in practice, I returned to academia in 2016 to deepen my understanding of mental health and counseling, earning both a Master's and a PhD in Social Work. My research and practice have focused on the intersection of physical and mental health and well-being, particularly through nature-based practices and natural therapies.

Following the completion of my doctorate in 2022, I served as the Director of Wellbeing and Assistant Professor of Medical Education at the TCU School of Medicine. In this role, I implemented holistic health initiatives on a larger scale and taught the essential components of a comprehensive health approach.

My research, professional experience, and personal health journey have all emphasized that true health is rooted in the essentials—nature, nourishment, movement, rest, purpose, meaning, and love—rather than extremes.

Through my personal and professional experiences, I also recognize that many healthcare providers lack the training or resources to fully support patients on their journey to better health. This realization has led me to return to private practice, focusing on individuals who desire more from their health providers: more time and attention, more listening, more understanding, and more support in their pursuit of healing, health, and wholeness.

Whether you are challenged by stress or stress-related disorders, facing chronic illness or pain, or simply seeking to enhance your health, energy, and overall quality of life, I am here to walk alongside you. Together, we will explore a comprehensive yet simple and natural approach to health and well-being, focusing on the essentials for a healthier, happier life.

A life in rhythm with nature and your nature cultivates a renewable approach to health and healing that brings you into wholeness—body, mind, and spirit.
